"WIN" Best Duo of the Year in May
2008
The contest was sponsored by the Pine Tree State Country Music Association.
They were equally honored to have performed at the Maine
Ol' Opry show Sunday, June 22 2008. "We got an excellent audience
response"!
They are currently in the running for induction to the "Maine Country Hall of Fame".
About Paul and Ellen: Paul and Ellen reside in the beautiful Western Foothills of Maine and enjoy playing music at many events worldwide. They have a faithful and dedicated following and play frequently at local bars, pubs, festivals and events, it is all about the music and the fun . Paul Dube and Ellen Lindsey have been performing
together for many years. Most recently as "Paul and Ellen" a duo
act that includes Paul on vocals and Gibson, acoustic guitar, Ellen on her
1961,Kay, upright, 3/4 bass fiddle. Paul and Ellen, have been performing as a duo now for
about 5 years, so far it has been successful. "We love doing this and
that comes through when we play". Between the two there is over 50 years of combined
musical experience, encompassing many styles of music and venues. They
have performed throughout the Northeast as well as Internationally. The rooms our shows appear in are always filled with
friends, new and old. When you come to a show, it is like being part of a
big family, that is having a great time! Some sing along, dance, ,just
being there feels good. Some of the songs are very sad, about death and
bad weather. Other songs are very funny . Some are originals written by
Paul. Some are sing -a- longs, you just can't help yourself. Like the song
about blowing up your TV, moving to the country and eating a lot of
peaches, people love to sing a long with it. The two also more often then not, have guest musicians
sit in with them at they're shows. Gary Searles, sits in with his
harmonicas most nights. Lindsey Montana, sits in on occasion, with his
acoustic or electric guitar or he may even bring his keys. It is always a
special treat when either sit in. There are many others, all very
excellent musicians, that will bring their instruments with them. On the
occasional week- end, night, that Paul and Ellen aren't booked, they go to
hear these folks play. Other musical projects include: The multi-award winning "ZINGO ZANGO GENERIC JUG
BAND" The in your face roadhouse Boogie band "TRAILER
TRASH BAND" a family band, with son Eric Grenier, on very hot blues
harp! The "BLU-GEL-O-SHOTS" with Lindsey Montana on
keys All the above currently are available LIVE, as well as
on CD The PAUL and ELLEN DUO is just beginning a recording
project, cd will be available soon, check our website for updates
